这位同学你好，我是一个在加拿大呆了1年多的留学生，高考失利，所以选择了留学。我考全国2时候好像也是120多，你能到这个水平说明你的英语底子还是很不错的，和其他人比较有明显的优势。雅思考试分听说读写四项，感觉和出国学习有密切的关联，在北美一般大学入学要求是雅思6.5，有的甚至7分，对单项还有要求，我考过托福，雅思，COPE（多大的语言考试），感觉就是雅思这个考试技巧性还是很强的，学过和没学过差距很大，以你的这个基础，只有好好学一下，6分是非常轻松的事情，不过想到6.5，我觉得你应该多背单词，其实在国外学习就是这样的，单词量决定一切，你120多分的英语，我觉得语法还是过关的，但是国内那些阅读题级别都太低了，不能拿来和雅思的阅读做比较，不过技巧还是类似的，就是先看首末句，看看这段讲什么，而且雅思题又比托福题简单，做阅读你可能没看懂文章在具体讲什么，但是你还是能把题做对，所以掌握做题的技巧是非常重要的。
教雅思最有名的学校是 环球雅思还有新东方，主校都在北京，或者你也可以选择在当地学习，现在留学教育的地方良莠不齐，这些好的地方可以讲授你做题和高分的技巧，所以不建议你去其他小地方学习，还有一点就是一定要持续背单词，口语单词是不能和学术词汇比较，我在这边学习的时候也是，读小说很多单词不认识，还是知道它讲什么，但是懂的单词越多就知道的越详细，而且大学老师讲课是很随便的，你当时当交换生过去的，他们知道你英语差，所以尽量放慢语速，到了大学，教授可不管你这个，而且教授来自世界各地，都有不同的发音，你想直接读大学，第一年可能还是会有点吃力。
我也在中国的外教地方学过口语，他们为了能让学生听懂语速很慢（语速慢），跟国外（语速中）语速根本不同，跟大学老师（语速快）还是有一定差距的，我的建议是你多练练听力，因为口语是建立在听力的基础上的，你没听懂对方的意思就乱说，到了国外，别人不会认为你英语有问题，会觉得你智商有问题，别让外国人瞧不起中国人啊。。。
我的建议是，
1.你一定要多背单词，雅思或者托福的单词书选择的单词都很好，都是高频词汇，大学4，6级的单词也是很不错的选择，掌握之后基本够用
2.另一方面，你在雅思辅导班学习高分技巧，争取雅思考7分，而且不要偏科，这样你的语言成绩够高，才有砝码，申请好大学
3.多多练习听力
