一、英语类考试：

很多中国学生青睐英语国家。要想进入这些国家的院校留学，获得符合要求的英语语言成绩是必要条件。当然，国家、院校、专业、学历级别不同，对语言的要求也是不一样的。
托福：英语国家普遍认可

托福即TOEFL，英文全称为Test of English as a Foreign Language，简称TOEFL。该项考试由美国教育考试服务中心（ETS）主办，专门用于测试非英语国家学生的英语水平和掌握英语的熟练程度，是一项标准化考试。目前除了美国、加拿大等国家的高等院校外，欧洲的英国、法国、德国、爱尔兰、比利时、荷兰等，大洋洲的澳大利亚、新西兰等，以及亚洲的新加坡、日本、香港等，非洲的南非等国家和地区也都承认托福考试成绩。

目前的托福采用真实场景，如模拟大学校园中的动态和交互式环境，综合考查考生的听、说、读、写4项英语语言能力，考生可充分展示使用英语进行交流的能力。考试采取机考形式，考试时间和各部分试题数目都是固定的。听、说、读、写每部分满分30分，共计120分。

雅思：主要被英联邦国家和美国认可

该项考试分4部分，一般需要两天完成。考生在第一天上午参加相继进行的听力、阅读、写作3项考试，第一天的下午或第二天上午参加口语考试。口语考试随机安排，和考生来自哪个地域无关。

MSE：中高级别成绩可用于申请留学

剑桥英语五级证书考试是英国剑桥大学考试委员会根据欧洲委员会制定的语言教学大纲设计的五级系列考试，英语名称为Main Suite Examinations，缩写为MSE。该考试由于其所具备的科学性、稳定性、权威性，在世界各国获得承认，被用于申请入学、就业等。中高级别的考试在学生申请留学过程中与托福、雅思的作用一样。

教育部考试中心于1996年陆续引进该系列英语考试，对英语听、说、读、写能力进行考查。成绩及格者可获得英国剑桥大学考试委员会颁发的成绩合格证书。该项考试报名不受年龄、性别、职业、地区、学历等限制，任何人均可持身份证件到当地考点报名。

GRE：美国研究生入学考试的重要一科

三一口语（GESE）的全称为：英国伦敦三一学院英语口语等级考试（GESE-Graded Examinations in Speakers of Other Languages），它是经英国文化委员会提议，专门为非英语国家设计的纯英语口语等级考试体系。
此项测试共分为四段12个级别。1-3级为预备段；4-6级为初级段；7-9级为中级段；10-12级为高级段。高级别的考试涵盖低于该级别的其他级别的内容。
考试形式为考生与考官进行一对一的交谈。
考试成绩评定：A—优秀，B—良好，C—及格，D—不及格。
